This is my futuristic build after watching the night sky during a full moon.
Affectionately name Full Mooner, this is a hollow wood surfboard build over a wood frame using the ‘strip-build’ technique.
I used several hundred very thin strips of a variety of different woods including cedar, redwood, teak, and poplar. In addition, I inlaid a generous amount of turquoise stone.
This fin-less freak sports an extreme bottom concave shape has received a lot of attention at shows. The 20-year olds all say they could ride it. Everyone else says it should be a wall hanger because it is surfboard art.
It measures 8’ x 22” x 3”
