Shape: A classic gun-shaped finless hollow wood surfboard with a modern twist. It sports a “V-Bottom” with turned-down rails – reminiscent of an old-school Red Fin.
Material: Handcrafted using a variety of redwood, light redwood, dark redwood, and figured redwood, with pin lines made from alder.
Finish: Traditional Poly Resin and Fiberglass Polished to a High-Gloss Shine.

Handcrafted entirely from wood (no paint, no stain, no foam) using the strip-build technique over top of a hollow wood frame, surfboard artist Michael Rumsey used hundreds of strips of wood and several different species of lumber including redwood and alder to create this piece. Technically classified as “Functional Fine Art” because it is built and shaped with technical precision (yes, it is surfable), yet designed as a beautiful statement piece for your home or office.
