I was taught early in my surfing obsession by my surfing guru, an old Imperial Beach lifeguard, that if the last wave in the set is larger than the first wave in the same set, it means the surf is building.

Surf’s Up!

And if we can have the good fortune of morning glass as well as a building surf, then it’s game on.

This longboard measures 9’ 6” long, 23-½” wide, and 3-½” thick.

I used paulownia, redwood, wenge, padauk, and more on this surfboard with artwork depicting a colorful sunset over the ocean with building surf.
